With the larger brakes, 6 speed transmission, Recaro seats, OEM body kit, it is an enthusiasts car for sure. Whether you plan on driving it daily or parking it in the garage, this is a car that never will never get old and will retain its value over time.
As with all of the cars we sell, this one has been gone through from head to toe. We like to be honest about disclosing any past history of the vehicle that we know of. We originally purchased this car with a snapped timing belt, and we knew it was going to need some work (we recommend 60k mile intervals on the 1.8t timing belt). When we tore the motor down It turned out that the pistons had tapped the valves a little harder then we were comfortable with putting back in.
Not wanting to cut any corners and potentially have the new owner have future problems, we went ahead and installed another set of good pistons along with a new set of rings, rod bearings, and a remanufactured cylinder head. So what does that mean? That means we turned this 86k mile motor into a zero mile motor! Not a bad thing at all.
Run Down:
- 86k miles on the chassis
- Zero miles on the 1.8L 20v turbo motor
- The bottom end has been honed and received new rings and bearings
- The head has been completely rebuilt.
- Timing belt service done during rebuild. That includes a new metal impeller water pump, belt tensioner, roller, and dampener.
- We installed a brand new driver side Recaro seat foam base to replace the existing foam which was caved in on the outer bolster. We also reinforced the foam when we installed it to prevent similar issues in the future.
- Interior is in great shape, no rips in the seats.
- Brakes are near new
- Brand new front wheel bearings
- Audi wheels with good rubber
- Jetta air vents
- Black A, B, & C pillars
- Black Headliner
- APR stage 1 software
- Freshly painted front and rear bumpers
- Aside from us painting the bumper the car HAS ORIGINAL PAINT
