Note that side mirrors and rear bumper are not installed in the pictures.
Note: This car is not being sold with the Reflex Tuning "All maintenance done" service package like we do with most of our used cars. This car still needs some work to be completed in order for it to be 100%. It will need brakes all around as it has been sitting for a while. We did do the timing belt service so no need to worry about that. This car should go to an enthusiast who knows these cars. The price reflects the condition. With having some paint work done the car is worth around $9,000.
This is a clean titled 337 edition (read bellow to learn what exactly the 337 edition is,) The car was involved in a minor accident which did not cause any frame damage (had a reputable body shop check for frame damage). The car slid on the ice while pulling into a driveway and hit a parked car. The damage was done to the passenger side front fender, hit high above the frame rail. We professionally fixed the inner fender damage ourselves. And replaced the entire nose with a Jetta front end which was already silver.
The silver front end could use some paint work. It had high miles on it and it shows. The hood has a lot of paint chips on it. The side skirts need to be painted and installed, the hatch as some dings on it. It comes with a GLI front lip that is cracked and needs to be repaired (still in one piece). I do not have a rear valence or radio cage.
So basically it just needs some paint on a few panels. We hope it can go to a good home and get finished up so someone can enjoy it.
The interior is in very good condition. We have the correct 337 mats for it. We do not have a radio cage for the aluminum trim, but we have ALL of the trim. It also has a full set of Jetta vents installed.
I don't have the BBS RC wheels (didn't come with it), it comes with 16" steelies that have snow tires on them that would probably need replacing. It has cross drilled brake rotors but the car has been sitting so we are not sure what condition they will be in once they become used again, so it may need brakes on all four corners.
Mechanically the car has a brand new timing belt service, serpentine belt, engine air filter, cabin air filter, sway bar bushings and r32 control arm bushings (all of which was installed). The engine only has 75k on it (I can document it), and the trans only has 40k or so on it with a brand new 1st/2nd shift fork (common problem that you now won't have to worry about)
Again, the car runs and drives great. It just needs to have some paint work done, along with a windshield. With the paint work done and it having low miles, people are selling their 337s for around $9,000.
Clean title in hand.
We have a Miltek turbo back exhaust and near new FK coilovers which can be included for extra.

2002 VW GTI 337 Edition
by Greg Wilson
"Volkswagen took the wraps off a hot new GTI model at the recent New York International Automobile Show: it's called the GTI 337 Edition.
Based on the rare GTI 25th Anniversary edition sold exclusively in Europe last year, the GTI 337 Edition is essentially a GTI 1.8T with a 6-speed manual transmission, a lowered sport suspension, special bodywork and blackened taillights, Recaro sport seats, a Monsoon sound system, and unique 18-inch alloy wheels and Z-rated 225/40R-18 inch performance tires. Volkswagen will build just 1,500 GTI 337 Editions.
"The 337 name comes from the codename for the Golf model back in the early 1970s," said Frank Maguire, vice president in charge of sales and marketing at Volkswagen of America, Inc. "The GTI is the sport version of the Golf and since we didn't begin selling the GTI here until 1983, the name 337 seemed like a nice way to recognize the history of this vehicle and make it meaningful to our most enthusiastic drivers. This is a very unique car for the Volkswagen lover."
Available in one colour, 'Reflex Silver', the GTI 337 Edition can be distinguished from other GTI's by its subtle front chin spoiler, rear valance, darkened taillamps, matching side skirts and rear spoiler just above the hatch. In the rear, there's a single polished stainless steel exhaust pipe tip.
The GTI 337's striking BBS RC Kreuzspeiche 18-inch alloy wheels offer a peek of the car's upgraded discs brakes with unique red calipers, the first time this has been offered on a GTI.
The interior includes standard front red and black Recaro sport seats designed for extra support during enthusiastic driving, and unique interior trim including a special three-spoke perforated leather-covered steering wheel with red stitching, a leather-covered hand brake with the same red stitching, a special 'golf ball' shift knob with a GTI logo, alloy interior trim, and alloy foot pedals, foot rest and door sills. As well, the 337 comes with a standard high-performance 8-speaker Monsoon AM/FM/CD/cassette sound system.
A standard six-speed manual transmission replaces the five-speed manual found in the GTI 1.8T, however the 180 horsepower turbocharged 1.8 litre four cylinder powerplant is exactly the same as the GTI 1.8T.
GTI 337 Editions are already on sale in the U.S., and supply will be limited in Canada. Its MSRP of $32,900 (Canadian) is about $7,000 more than a GTI 1.8T, but that seems reasonable given the long list of extra standard equipment such as the Recaro seats, bigger brakes, 18 inch tires, and six-speed manual transmission. And its additional custom features are all covered under Volkswagen's new 4 yr/80,000 km warranty and 5 yr/100,000 km warranty.
For those who want an alternative to the time and expense of customizing their own GTI, the GTI 337 Edition is a great way to get an limited edition GTI right off the shelf."
